Employment Opportunities

    Potomac Horse Center employs a full compliment of full and part-time staff members.  Some positions include on-farm housing.  PHC tries to provide part-time and temporary positions for youths enrolled in our riding programs.  Part-time afternoon and weekend positions are very popular so advance application is imperative.

Instructors - PHC is always interested in meeting qualified, upbeat, personable instructors in all disciplines including dressage, hunter/jumper, and combined training.

Show Pro - A substantial earning potential position exists for an experienced professional with a suitable H/J showing truck/trailer rig.  Plan and execute two away show excursions per month - locate, provide, and train prospects for sale or for use in our lesson program - teach some intermediate to experienced rider lessons as your schedule allows. Unlike the status quo, your compensation will be entirely commission based - thus, there will be no limit on the financial rewards possible for a motivated professional. Evening & Weekend Office Positions - Weekday hours are 5:00 pm - 9:30 pm. Weekends are either 8:30 am - 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm. Work-for-lessons is available for these positions.  Adults only with excellent customer service skills, please.

Weekend Barn Positions - Saturday or Sunday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with 1/2 hour lunch break. We will train you to groom, tack, blanket, perform barn chores, help out with birthday parties, as horse show staff and assist clients on the aisle or in lessons. Note: You must be at least 14 years old & have a valid work permit until the age of 18.
